Bob Buchanan is an accredited Master Marine Surveyor.  He has owned and operated power and sail boats for the past 30 years. For the last 8 years he has worked exclusively in the marine industry here in Mexico - providing surveys, deliveries, repairs and installations to all mechanical and electrical systems on cruising yachts.  Bob is both a certified Yanmar mechanic and Authorized "Gold" Dealer for Yanmar. The term is reserved for those accomplished-few who have qualified in Yanmar's technical training demands for Experience, Tools, Training and Parts Inventory expertise. As a Gold Dealer, Total Yacht Works is qualified and approved to work on any Yanmar engine.

Bob's international surveyor training combined with his electrical background (he's a 'licensed' Journeyman Communications Electrician) and knowledge of mechanical systems, yacht maintenance and safe boating operations, enables him to inspect, diagnose, repair and service yachts with a high degree of intention and dependability.

Bob currently lives aboard his 40' Acapulco cutter, Bolias Dream, and happily commutes by dinghy to the boat yard.
